Every year we offer the great wines of Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône Valley en primeur. In the case of Bordeaux, the wines are sold two years prior to shipment, while the Burgundies and Rhônes are sold about 10 months in advance.
We also offer vintage Port when a vintage is declared.
For Bordeaux it is particularly important to note (as unlike Burgundy and the Rhône where the wines are bought by us directly from producers, almost all Claret passes through the Bordeaux négociant system) we work with a small number of suppliers, firmly established, and with whom we have worked for many years. We never take risks by purchasing primeur stock from any of the less solidly established brokers.
On shipment, your wines can either be delivered under bond to your bonded warehouse account (and if you do not have one, but would like to set one up, we work with Nexus Wine Collections who look after the 'paid reserves' of private clients, storing either at Octavian in Wiltshire, or at Vinothèque in Staffordshire), or duty paid to a UK mainland address of your chosing. In the latter instance, duty and VAT is payable, and we ask for this to be paid in advance of dispatch either by cheque, transfer or debit card.
